The façade of the Persa Víctor Manuel was painted through a call organized by Alejandro González, better known as “Mono” González, a renowned Chilean muralist who has his own gallery-workshop inside the Persa Víctor Manuel.
This mural, located on Víctor Manuel Street, was created with the participation of the artists Agotok (a duo of urban artists), Oficio Erico, and Xilo Bastian. The intervention, which spans more than 150 meters in length, represents the value of this building as Santiago’s former Curtiembre (tannery), together with the diversity of the people who visit the Persa Víctor Manuel, associated with the characteristic commerce that takes place here.
For its execution, a process of research and image selection was carried out, which was later brought to life by the artists. Among the elements represented we can see paintings, objects, typical shops, people, and other figures.
